Angle

Overview

Angle is my second typeface, born from a collaboration with a friend. His family owned a company that sold carbonated drinks called Angle, and their signature beverage was Anglesolina.

The design process began with a study of old photographs from the company's active years. The goal was to create a single-weight display typeface, though it also performs well in text.

Angle, my second typeface, came from a collaboration with a friend whose family owned a carbonated drinks company called Angle.

Inspired by old photos from that era, it was designed as a single-weight display typeface but works surprisingly well in text.

Early Sketches

The typeface is based on the angle of the tool used to draw the original letters. However, some personality was added, inspired by my regrettable and long-gone stint in the world of graffiti.
